This Privacy Policy explains how Crane Power Limited (CranePower) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information.

What Personal Information do we collect?

We may collect personal information about you, including:

your name, and business card contact information (for example, your organisation, your email address, phone number);
communications with us, including emails, call notes, and feedback;
account information and log-in information for the Remote Management System (RMS), including, if you opt into messaging or alerts, your phone number;
website and device information, such as your IP address, browser type, device or online identifiers, pages visited, referring websites and interactions with our website or advertising;
any other personal information you choose to provide to us.

CranePower products may also generate technical and operational information about products and their use (Telemetry Data). In this context, Telemetry Data is not personal information and is therefore outside the scope of this Privacy Policy.

How do we collect personal information?

We usually collect personal information directly from you, including when you contact us, use our website or RMS, subscribe to newsletters, or otherwise interact with us. We may also collect personal information from other sources, including third-party platforms such as LinkedIn (see the Cookies section below)

How do we use personal information?

We may collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

to contact and manage relationships with customers and potential customers;
to administer and secure RMS accounts and provide RMS functionality and support;
to provide, manage and improve our products, services and website;
to conduct analytics, measure and improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and deliver relevant advertising, where permitted by law; and
to manage security, fraud prevention, risk, legal and compliance matters.

You generally do not have to provide us with personal information. However, some information may be required to enter into or perform a contract with you or to provide RMS access. If you do not provide information we reasonably need, we may not be able to provide the relevant products, services or RMS access.

Who do we share information with?

We may share personal information with:

the organisation associated with your RMS account, including its authorised account administrators;
service providers who support our business. Our key service providers include organisations providing cloud hosting, IT support, analytics, marketing and communications, payment and customer support (Service Providers);
professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers;
an actual or potential buyer, investor, funder or adviser in connection with a proposed or actual sale, merger, acquisition, restructure or other business transaction; and
any other person or organisation authorised by you or permitted by law.

Where do we store information?

We may store personal information in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States of America. Some of our service providers, for example providers of cloud hosting, IT support, communications, customer relationship management or other services, are located in Australia and the United States of America.

Where privacy legislation requires safeguards for overseas disclosure, we will take reasonable steps to ensure there are appropriate protections in place, unless another permitted basis for disclosure applies.

How do we secure information?

We store personal information in secure systems and limit access to authorised personnel.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements. We then securely delete, destroy or de-identify it.

How do we use cookies and similar technologies?

Our public website may use cookies, tags, pixels and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, understand how you interact with our website and support our advertising and communications. These technologies may collect information such as IP address, browser type, device or online identifiers, pages visited, referring websites and browsing activity.

We may use:

essential cookies, which are required for the website to operate;
preference cookies, which remember your settings or choices;
analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use our website; and
advertising or marketing technologies, which help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and deliver relevant marketing, including through third-party platforms. These technologies may collect website, device and browsing information as described above and provide that information to the relevant advertising platform.

Where applicable law requires consent, we will not activate non-essential cookies or similar technologies requiring consent unless you have agreed to their use. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings and can change your preferences at any time. If you disable some cookies, parts of our website may not work properly.

Google Ads and Google Tag Manager: We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, including whether users take actions on our website such as submitting a form. We use Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage Google Ads, LinkedIn and other tracking technologies. Google may receive information through the Google technologies deployed on our website in accordance with its privacy practices

Microsoft Clarity: We use Microsoft Clarity to better understand how visitors interact with our website and to help us improve its functionality and user experience. Clarity uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about website usage, including pages visited, clicks, scrolling behaviour, device and browser information, and other interactions. This may include heatmaps and session recordings that allow us to understand how visitors navigate and use our website. Information collected through Clarity may be processed by Microsoft in accordance with its privacy practices.

LinkedIn Insight Tag: We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure advertising performance and retarget website visitors on LinkedIn. The tag may provide LinkedIn with information about your visit, including pages viewed, referring website, IP address, device and browser information and visit time. We may also use LinkedIn's enhanced matching feature, which allows a hashed version of some information you provide through our website, such as your email address, to be sent to LinkedIn to improve advertising measurement and campaign performance. We receive aggregated reporting that does not identify individual LinkedIn members. Information collected through the tag may be processed overseas. LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms: We may use LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms in our advertising campaigns. If you submit information through a Lead Gen Form, we may use it to respond to your request, provide requested content and, where permitted, contact you about our products or services. The form will include a link to this Privacy Policy.

How do we use your information for marketing?

We may use your contact information to send you information about our products and services where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us at support@cranepower.com.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its processing, and receive or transfer certain personal information. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

You can object at any time to the use of your personal information for direct marketing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or the relevant supervisory authority in the EEA.

Your personal information may be transferred outside the EEA or UK, including to New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
