The Wesley Hospital extension is a large-scale 10-storey project adding vital healthcare services, a critical radiology department, and research facilities.
Within metres of heavily populated residential apartments on both sides of the site—noise control and CO₂ emissions were key factors when selecting the site power system.
A single E-Gen300 has been placed on the site fenceline, producing zero CO₂ emissions and generating 45dB of noise under normal operating conditions. Neighbouring residents can have their windows open and not know the unit is powered on.
Since being on-site, the E-Gen300 has saved over 26 metric tons of CO₂ and is projected to save over 148t when the crane comes down in July 2027. An equivalent diesel generator would be expected to use 55,322L of diesel at a cost of $144,391 AUD by project end.
The E-Gen300 on-site has maintained 100% uptime and 81% average State of Charge for over 71 days, fed only by a 25A limited mains input.

Minimal noise and emissions
Placed on the site fenceline, a single E-Gen300 operated with zero CO₂ emissions and quiet noise levels right under neighbouring residential apartments.
Noise rating
Quiet Operation
Produces comparable noise to a household refrigerator under normal operating conditions and less than half the decibels of a typical diesel generator.
